Dam High Scaler
A bronze by Steven Liguori commemorates the brave men who’s job it was to climb up and down and across the face of the cliffs where Hoover Dam was to be attached. They carried all their tools, water, food, explosives, and a power drill hanging from their seat. Most of the men who lost their lives during the building of the dam were High Scalers. In compensation they were paid $.25 more per hour then the men who stayed on the ground. The Bronze statue was installed 1998 at the Visitor’s Center beside the Dam. This depiction was burned on Baltic Birch wood by Wood Burning by Marsha in 2022.
